get yourself to the fountain next to water works, face the schuylkill, head to your left and find the spiral stair pictured. it's fun and free.

the boston cream was tall, and disappeared faster than it could be photographed. i took the apple fritter to the shore, because it wanted to see the ocean once before dying. (it is a great time of year to go to island beach)
